[WFRP 1e] The Enemy Within 19

Wilfried [Fence]

Larry [Bodyguard]

Martin [Scout]

Othmar [Charlatan]

Wilhelm [Wizard]

Gottlieb [Bounty Hunter]

At the dwarf tower, Wilfried volunteered to keep watch within the tower proper. That was how he found himself being attacked from behind, knocked unconscious, and missing the entire fight the party had with a ghoul. (Thanks to a Fate Point.)

Wilfried awoke to find himself in a rotten ghoul lair, lying on a floor inscribed with a glowing hexagram. Martin was on the floor beside him, and other were trying to enter a bricked up doorway. That didn’t work so well for them. Everyone limped back to the boat to be tended by Emmanuelle.

While the injured were recuperating, the rest of the party scouted the tower base for secret doors opened by way of the dead ghoul’s magical necklace. They found one more secret door, and barricaded it until the dwarves felt the danger had passed and agreed to pay the party their earned wage. After that, the party explored the secret door.

The secret door opened to a short hallway with a door at the end and a door on either side. Larry was sent to explore, as he was the best armored in the party. Wilfried volunteered to hold the lantern so Larry could see what he was doing.

The right hand door opened to a library, and a zombie came after Larry. The bodyguard froze up in fear, and Wilfried stepped forward and pummeled the zombie with the lantern. There were many interesting things found in the library, but the most interesting may have been a chart of the orbit of Morrslieb.

The left hand door entered into a laboratory with another zombie. Martin took care of this one, in time for 3 more to come lumbering out a door at the far end of the room. Wilfried returned to fighting form, taking another zombie out with a single blow!

Many other important papers were found, none particularly interesting to the illiterate Fence. After figuring out the secret of the tower base, and locking it up for use only by the party in the future, the group returned to the boat. It was smooth sailing to Kemperbad.
