Something Rotten in Kislev
It took three days of river travel to reach Voltsara. When we got off the boat, we made sure to put on our official Knights Panther tabards.
At the village, the crops had been harvested and the fields left fallow. People were scared to come out of their homes. A drunk villager met us to welcome us “to the doomed city of Voltsara.” He mentioned Tzeentch. That gets our attention.
The local shrine to Taal & Rhya looks a little odd in one corner. Brother Nathander did a divining. He mentioned something “ancient and broken, coming from beneath.” It doesn’t make any sense to me. The only thing that comes from beneath in a city is ratmen. I hope that’s the case here, too.
There’s some kind of twit in charge of the town. He sends us to one of his lackies, who sends us to the charcoal burner, Piotr Piotrivich. The guy knows nothing, other than his son is a bit touched and went to live in the woods many, many years ago. Piotr did offer to summon spirits for us to talk to. That was news.
We talked to his house spirit, Domovoy. That thing knew nothing outside of what happens in the house. We tried everything else, talking to townsfolk, looking at the scenes of previous crimes. Nothing helped. We allowed Piotr to summon a forest spirit instead, Leshy.
Leshy’s large and in charge. He wants us to fight his friend, Father Bear, in order to get the information we seek. This should be fun.
